WHY IS ANTLER FARMS® NEW ZEALAND FISH OIL BETTER THAN THE REST?

✅ Clean Sourced - As one of the world’s most isolated, natural and pristine environments, New Zealand is an ideal source for pure, clean fish oil that is free of environmental toxins, PCB’s, heavy metals and other contaminants.

✅ Nutrient Rich - Antler Farms® New Zealand Fish Oil contains an abundance of essential Omega-3 fatty acids. Our potent blend of EPA:DHA precisely matches the recommended 3:2 ratio for optimal health benefits.

✅ Processed for Purity - Our fish oil is filtered, purified and distilled on location. The high speed of processing from ocean to facility results in a product that is exceptionally fresh, naturally bioactive and nutritionally complete.

✅ Made in New Zealand - Antler Farms® New Zealand Fish Oil comes from the deep blue waters of New Zealand and the South Pacific. New Zealand is known for its superb fish management systems and state of the art facilities.

✅ Certified Sustainable - We source exclusively from certified sustainable fish populations – the New Zealand Hoki, which are fully traceable to the fishing vessel, date, time and location of catch, and the South Pacific Anchoveta.

Antler Farms® New Zealand Fish Oil is extracted from the fatty tissue of cold water, oily fish. Our fish oil begins in the deep blue South Pacific Ocean, where the physical separation from other countries results in one of the purest fishing zones in the world.

Antler Farms New Zealand Fish Oil is a pure, clean, high grade fish oil sourced from wild caught New Zealand Hoki and South Pacific Anchoveta.

 NEW ZEALAND HOKI

The bulk of our fish oil blend comes from the New Zealand Hoki.

New Zealand Hoki are caught in isolated Pacific waters surrounding the islands at depths of 600-2500 feet. With long, sleek bodies, these whitefish are 3-4 feet in length and weigh 3-5 pounds.

Hoki are naturally rich in Omega-3’s and have a unique EPA to DHA ratio. And because Hoki are low on the ecological food chain, feeding on small squid, crustaceans and fish, the oil has extremely low levels of mercury and other contaminants. Hoki are fully traceable to the fishing vessel, date, time and location of catch.

SOUTH PACIFIC ANCHOVETA

Our secondary fish, the South Pacific Anchoveta, is an excellent source of Omega-3’s and is the perfect complement to the Hoki.

Anchoveta are small fish that live in the coastal waters of Chile and Peru, down to a depth of 300 feet. They measure just six inches in length and weigh less than two ounces. Anchoveta have short life spans and eat a diet consisting exclusively of plankton, making them one of the cleanest, safest fishes to consume.

Our Hoki and Anchoveta are wild caught and certified sustainable.

Both the Hoki and Anchoveta are categorized as “Least-concern species” (far from endangered) by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

New Zealand Hoki was the world’s first large, whitefish stock to receive the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) ecolabel in 2001. The MSC ecolabel identifies seafood that comes from independently certified sustainable fisheries that are well managed, have healthy numbers and that carefully manage impacts on the marine environment. The MSC has re-certified the New Zealand Hoki fisheries as sustainable on three separate occasions, making it one of the longest periods of certifications in the world.

Why Should You Use Fish Oil?

The benefits of fish oil are attributed to its powerful Omega-3 fatty acids – eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Omega-3 is an essential fat, meaning that the human body cannot produce it. It must be consumed in food. Though it can be found in nuts, seeds and vegetables, the very best source of Omega-3 is cold water, oily fish.

Though Omega-3 needs can be met by eating fish regularly, the FDA cautions against eating fish more than three times a week due to the risk of heavy metal accumulation in our bodies. Therefore, taking a pure, clean, Omega-3 rich fish oil as a dietary supplement is the safer alternative.

A tremendous body of scientific research has been conducted on the effects of Omega-3. These fatty acids are an integral part of cell membranes. They are required to regulate cardiovascular, immune and inflammatory pathways.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF FISH OIL?

Omega-3 ranks among one of our body's most important essential nutrients.

Omega-3 has been shown to have the following health benefits:

Promotes Heart & Cardiovascular Health:
* reduces the risk of heart disease
* lowers the level of bad cholesterol (LDL)
* increases the level of good cholesterol (HDL)
* prevents accumulation of triglycerides
* reduces elevated triglyceride levels
* improves blood vessel function
* prevents formation of blood clots
* reduces blood pressure in people with high blood pressure

Improves Brain Function:
* improves memory
* fights depression and anxiety
* prevents cognitive decline and brain atrophy

Reduces Inflammation:
* reduces inflammation in blood and tissue
* reduces Joint stiffness and joint pain
* helps treat autoimmune diseases and metabolic syndrome

Improves Eye, Hair and Skin Health:
* reduce risk of macular degeneration and dry eye
* adds moisture to skin and improves skin appearance
* stimulates hair growth and promotes hair health

How is Antler Farms® New Zealand Fish Oil Processed?

Our fish oil is processed on location in Tasman Bay – New Zealand’s largest deep sea fishing port in the heart of the fishing industry.

The high speed of processing from ocean to facility means our fish oil is exceptionally fresh.

In a state of the art facility, the refinement process filters, purifies and concentrates the Omega-3 fatty acids while removing harmful environmental toxins such as mercury, lead, PCB’s, and dioxins.

We take great care to ensure our fish oil remains naturally bioactive and nutritionally complete.

The New Zealand Hoki oil in triglyceride form is blended with molecularly distilled South Pacific Anchoveta oil to provide the ideal 3:2 ratio of EPA to DHA that is recommended for optimal health benefits (Dr. Stephen Kopecky, Mayo Clinic Professor of Medicine).

WHY SHOULD YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR FISH OIL COMES FROM?

Many cheaper products on the market today contain fish oil derived from poor quality sources, such as:

  • assortment of many species of fish, considered commercial waste
    • fish that do not have oily tissue and thus low levels of essential fatty acids
    • fish that are large predators and tend to carry high amounts of toxins
    • fish the live in warm, shallow, polluted waters

    Fish oils made from inferior sources may lack nutritional integrity and have low bioavailability. They can have low amounts of EPA and DHA, and tend to degrade and become rancid quicker. More importantly, these fish oils may be a health risk - containing dangerous levels of toxic substances, chemical residues and heavy metals.

    Unsophisticated refinement techniques fail to remove impurities from fish oil, making them unsafe, especially when consumed on a daily basis. Therefore, it is vital that you use a pure, clean fish oil from known, high quality, trusted sources.
